What is the reason for dollar appreciation inspite of the fact that US economy is going down?

Our exports are increasing and import decreasing since the dollar fell in value, and the cheap dollar also is making investment here look like a bargain if you have Euros or pounds. Also many other countries are doing even worse.

that means the next round depreciation is coming soon. The US dollars should not be strong anymore with the recent worsening financial markets.
