Jess, I could fill up a whole page of causes and effects and probably still leave you shaking your head like most of us, so here is a link to Chicago Radio, once you get there click on “full episode” you will here a radio program that explains exactly what happened. You can listen and still do other things in the meantime. I hope this helps you.

Basically all the sub prime mortgage lenders have gone bankrupt like Freddy Mack and ***** Mae. This has placed an enormous strain on the financial sector and sent the banks broke also. Now they need a $700 Billion bail out or ppl wont be able to borrow from anywhere sending our economy into further crisis. The bail out has been approved by both houses of Congress. This money will be injected back into the financial sector to help cash strapped banks lend money to businesses and consumers to conduct daily business. This could take some time to correct itself.

You can thank a very greedy, money driven society like the U.S who always have to keep up with the Jone’s, if their neighbor has a 3,000 sq ft home, they have to get a 4,000 sq ft home. If their neighbor drives a saab, they have to drive a BMW. This is a never ending cycle which goes nowhere, and results in a society where people obsess over money, and material things, and as a result, are never satisfied, or happy, and lack integrity. I **** to break the news to you America, but people elsewhere live MUCH Happier, fulfilling lives, and have SO MUCH LESS. Open your eyes, happiness comes from within, don’t rely on external factors to fill a void.
